Pennsylvanians who drive electric vehicles should not be penalized with annual fees. Yet the Pennsylvania House is considering doing just that- and soon.

We need MORE electric vehicles on the road to reduce pollution and clean up the transportation system, not penalties for those who choose to drive EVs to save money and benefit our environment.

We need REAL, long-term solutions to address gaps in our road and infrastructure funding, not punitive fees that unfairly target EV drivers. According to Consumer Reports, “An annual electric vehicle tax also won’t raise much revenue, providing less than 0.2 percent of Pennsylvania’s road funding by 2025.”
